Motivation Life by Me.

7XHVQYFU29WUOn the difficulty of life in Jakarta when I daydream and in reverie was suddenly someone whispered into my subconscious ear and he said:

"Hhhm,. If we look to see life is sometimes annoying,. sometimes be a real headache and also sometimes disappointing liver?

But Overall it could turn into the best in this life if we want to see there are still people who love and attention we sincerely around us such as: Parents, Friend, relative, boyfriend or girlfriend realize that without us they pray for and support the struggle us in this life ..

So .. Let it means the power to spur the soul to a better life ..

Prayer, Business, Integrity and Passion (spirit) to win is a powerful weapon to deal with this crazy world who increasingly to achieve future success .. Upon failure, humiliation and disappointment toward you ... Come near to God and Stare at the people who still love you (family , sweetheart, etc.) to be motivated when weak ..

So ... Do not say can not to this world .. Because GOD never sleeps to hear, see and feel the struggle of his servants to live in His will .. For We are special beings ..

Then I woke up in my daydream it, .. and like any new strength in my soul to continue a journey ...

The Importance of A Vigilance ..

When the lecture, A friend gave me a tragic article in the newspaper that the story thus:

"There was a young man name the initials" S "which has long been unemployed and being helped (given a job / wages to paint the house) by the neighbor However the she is not grateful, in fact, evil thoughts crossed the minds of" S ","If he could fix the house means being a lot of money nich! "Then he killed the whole household (husband, wife and 3 son) and his body was put into a hole in the backyard and on cemented .."

After I read the article which touched the heart of it, my buddy looked sharply towards me as he said;

"Maybe at one time we the bad guys off guard and took the opportunity and take advantage of it, Stay ALERT, buddy !!.."

I froze and flashed in my mind the old adage "The milk rewarded with water tubes and heat is removed by rain one day a year ..." ..
may be a reflection for all of us .. (Homo homini lupus) ..

Rotten hate.

A Mother's kindergarten teacher (kindergarten) held a "game".

The teacher asked each student to bring a transparent plastic bag of fruit and potatoes.

Each potato was given the name based on names of people who hated, so that the amount of potatoes is not specified how much ... depending on the number of people who are hated.

On the agreed day each student took the potatoes in a plastic bag. There are a number 2, there are 3 even have a 5.

As their teacher's command of each potato is named after the name of the person hated.

The students should bring a plastic bag containing the potatoes wherever they go, even to the toilet though, for 1 week.

Day by day, the potatoes began to rot, the students began to complain, let alone that brought 5 pieces of potato, in addition to heavy smell too bad.

After 1 week of kindergarten students are relieved that their ordeal will end soon.

Mother Teacher: "How does it feel to bring the potatoes for 1 week?"

Get out of complaints from kindergarten students, in general they do not feel comfortable to bring these rotten potatoes wherever they go.

The teacher also explained what the meaning of "game" that they lakukan.Ibu Teacher: "Such was the hatred which we always carry if we can not forgive others.

It was very unpleasant to bring potato rot wherever we go.

That's only 1 week. What if we bring a lifetime of hatred? It would be uncomfortable

God Speaking without us knowing it ..

A man whispered, "God, speak to me."

And finch was singing.
But, man is not listening.

So, man is shouting, "God, talk to me!"
Thunder and lightning and thunder too.
But Man is not listening.

Man, look around and say,
"Lord, let me see you."
And a star shone brightly.
But, man did not see it.

And, man shouted again, "Lord, show me a miracle!" Mu "
And a baby was born.
But, man is not aware of it.

So, he called again in desperation, "Jamahlah me, Lord!"
And soon, God had come down and grab him.
But, man is even expel butterfly and kept walking.

How this is all actually reminds us
that God is always present around us in the form
simple and small that we often assume then, even in this electronic era ...
therefore I would like to add one more:

Man cried, "Lord, I need your help!"
And there came an e-mail with good news and strengthen.

However, he would remove them and keep complaining ....

The good news is that you still loved by someone else!

Let us not cast away a gift, by grace alone is not packaged in the form desired and understood by our

Reflection of the Carrot, Egg and Coffee ..

A child complained to her father about her life and ask why life is so hard for her. He does not know how to deal with it and almost gave up. He was tired to fight. It seems every time one problem is completed, new problems arise.
His father, a chef, took her to the kitchen. He filled three pots with water and put it on fire. Soon the pots came to boil. He put carrots in the pan first, second and eggs in a pot he placed ground coffee beans last. He let it boil without saying a word. The child is silent and waited impatiently, wondering what he was doing his father. After 20 minutes she turned off the fire. He fished the carrots out and placed them in a bowl, lift the egg and put it in another bowl, and pour the coffee in a bowl.
Then he asked his son, "What you see, son?" "Carrots, eggs, and coffee," replied the boy. Her father brought her closer and asked her to feel the carrots. She did and noted that they were soft. Her father then asked him to take an egg and break it. After removing the skin, he found a boiled egg is hardened. Finally, her father asked her to sip the coffee. He smiled when tasting coffee with a rich aroma.
After that, the boy asked, "What does it mean, Dad?" He explained that each had faced the same adversity, boiling water, but each reacted differently.Boiled carrots before a strong, hard and difficult to be broken. But after boiling, carrots become soft and tender.
Egg had been fragile. Thin outer shell had protected its liquid. But after the boiling water, its inside became hardened.Coffee powder changes to a unique experience. Once in boiling water, they changed the water. "You are including which ones?," Asked her father. "When difficulties come to you, how do you cope? Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee? "
How about you? Am I the carrot that seems hard, but with the existence of suffering and trouble, you give up, become soft and lose your strength.
Am I the egg that starts with a malleable heart? With a dynamic spirit, but after a death, heartbreak, divorce or dismissal becomes hard and rigid. From the outside looks the same, but if you become bitter and tough with a stiff spirit and heart?
Or are you like the coffee bean? Coffee powder changes the hot water, something that causes pain, to reach it's maximum at a temperature of 100 degrees Celsius. When the water reaches the temperature of the hottest, coffee was more enjoyable. If you like the coffee bean, when things get worse, you will become better and make things around you are also improving..

The Secret Motivation that Motivates You to Get Rich by Tony Papajohn.

What becomes possible when you discover that there is a person inside you for whom getting rich is no big deal? If you could talk to this person, what do you suppose you would learn about his or her motivation?
Suppose this person is the ultra-successful version of you and is totally at ease with the though of getting rich. In fact, this person finds getting rich "old hat." What do you suppose will motivate you when you have succeeded in a big way and banked a pile of money?
Imagine that you are this ultra-successful person in a future moment. Suppose you are looking back on this time in your life when you have yet to achieve the success of which you are capable.
Think about this ultra-successful person. Do you suppose he or she is motivated by even more money and an even larger net worth?
This may be so. However, it not as likely as you might guess.
Why? This person met his or her financial needs a long time ago. And yet, he or she is probably still active in the business in which he or she made a fortune. In fact, this person is probably still seeking opportunity and still making bundles of money.
Here is why this is almost certainly the case. The ultra-successful version of you is in touch with a powerful reason besides the money.
Here is a principle of seeking your fortune: The reason that gets you started on the road to success is not the reason that sustains you in the long-term.
This means that once you make a certain amount of money, the money ceases to be the same big deal it once was. This is not to say that it is meaningless!
However, suppose you currently feel pressed about money and beset with money worries. What happens when you enjoy a huge success and make the biggest pile of money that you have ever made in your life?
Would you not happily and permanently put that feeling of being pressed behind you? In a future moment, money may still motivate you. However, it will not have the same urgency that it once had.
And that is the point. The person you want to become that makes you rich is in touch with a powerful reason besides the money.
Why? The reason that gets you started on the road to success is not the reason that sustains you in the long-term. In other words, the person that you want to become that makes you rich is motivated by the challenge of making money, a sense of accomplishment, and the experience of making something out of nothing.
This person might be totally fascinated with the business activity itself or resonate with some other reason besides the sheer amount of money.
Of course, this is not to say that the money is no longer meaningful! It is to say that one can find powerful motivation besides it. So ask yourself "What motivates me at this point in my career and what is important as I go through my day?"
And imagine that you see the world differently through the eyes of the person you are becoming that is already ultra-successful. As you discover the reason besides the money, you get in touch with the person you want to become that makes you rich. And you will indeed get rich.
So think in terms of your powerful reason besides the money. Before long, you will have all the money you want.

Making Money From Home - What is Your Motivation? by Lillian Cornelius.

Everyone has a special reason for trying to make money from home. Very often it's sheer desperation, as we read in the advertisements from the various entrepreneurs trying to sell their most recent product. Those stories are gripping, and we can see ourselves in a similar boat and desiring to do as that truck driver, housewife, or single mom has done. I mention here three strong motivators and I think you will see yourself somewhere here.
Paying your debts
This was a strong motivator for me. In fact it was a "must do." I like watching the Suze Orman show and one of the things Suze absolutely demands of everyone is that they get out of credit card debt or anything other debt as soon as possible. Our society has been a buy now and pay later culture, which sometimes works to our advantage but most of the time it is just a noose around our necks. If you have any kind of debt, that is your first motivator right there. You need to find another way to earn income so that you can clear your debts and stay our of them permanently. You can make money from home. Research the possibility and start today.
Keeping your family safe and sound
Whether you are the chief bread winner for a little family or you are a single mom trying to survive, or perhaps a single man carving out a career. Whatever the case, you need some financial independence on top of, or instead of, working for someone else no matter how secure that job seems to be. Making money at home is the perfect way to do that since it's flexible, and doesn't require upfront cash like starting your own physical business would. Love for your family is a very strong motivator and shows you are thinking in a positive direction in uncertain financial times.
Achieving your dreams
Everyone has dreams. Perhaps you started off dreaming about the perfect career, then finding a life partner, after that owning a home, or traveling to some exotic place on the globe that sparks your interest. Perhaps you want a certain kind of car, or perhaps like me, also want to send money overseas or to some charity that you are passionate about, but right now you can't do it. Dreams are so different for each one of us. What do you feel like when you are dreaming? If you are like me, you feel happy, full of hope, and warmly optimistic. So keep dreaming but it's up to you to make those dreams a reality.
Motivation is a powerful emotion or energy, use it to your advantage. Each of the motivations above are good. Remember that it's one hundred percent important that you get out of debt (very powerful motivator), it's super important that you keep your family safe and secure, and dreams are what make the world go around. Let these motivations take you a step closer to your life's goals. Think seriously about having a second way of supporting yourself and your family by adding a make money at home business.

Positive Rewards And Motivation by Sam Crowley

Are you ready to change but your motivation is holding you back? If so you are likely to be feeling frustrated and unhappy with life. The good news is that you can get your motivation back and one of the best ways to do it is to reward yourself.
How Rewarding Yourself Actually Works
One of the best ways to gain motivation is if there is something in the changes that you want to make which will benefit you.
Think of something that you really want to achieve but which you have not yet had the motivation to do so. Perhaps the benefit of that achievement is strong but just not strong enough? Think again to that achievement and then think about something else which you would really love to have. It could be new clothes, a nice holiday away or even a nice trip out to the cinema. Once you know what it is that you want, you can then start to bargain with yourself.
For example, if you want to lose weight but you have not found the motivation, why not set yourself a goal so that once you have lost a certain amount of weight, you reward yourself with something? That usually works really well and some dieters even find that by eating well all week, they can afford to have one day where they reward their good effort by eating whatever they want. It helps keep their motivation strong and it does not undo all of their hard work as they go back to eating healthily for the other six days a week.
By offering yourself a reward it will keep you interested and focused in the achievement that you have set yourself. If you want to change your job then once you have applied for one and received an interview, you can reward yourself with a shopping trip perhaps or a nice meal out? That will remind you that what you did was good and no matter whether you get the job or not, you have shown that you are willing to make the changes in your life.
Rewards are often seen as something which are given to children, but as we grow our need to be rewarded does not change. Of course it is possible to motivate yourself without rewards, but with them it makes things a lot easier and why shouldn't you reward yourself? So much time is spent on beating ourselves up for the things that we do wrong, yet we never reward ourselves for the things that we do right.
Overall our motivation stems from wanting to do something due to the result which will benefit us in some way. This means that rewards are often a good way to keep ourselves focused and on target to meet our lifelong goals. Without reward we do not see the point in putting all of our effort into something. So think of what you would like to achieve and think of something that you want. That way you will find the motivation that you have been craving for so long and you will achieve whatever it is that you want to achieve.

Finding A Motivated Seller... What To Look For. by Chuck Lunsford.

Finding a motivated seller, what to look for and why. The reason it is so important to finding a motivated seller, is because that is what makes an awesome real estate transaction.
When you are looking to purchase real estate, the seller you want to look for, is one that wants to sell their home. They will be easier to negotiate with, more eager to please, and finally want to get the process over with.
If you spend your time working with sellers that are unmotivated, you will be spending a great deal of time energy, and money on a deal that may never go through. This can not only be discouraging, but also devastating to some.
If you have ever tried to push a friend up a rope when they were trying to learn to climb, or try to walk up a slippery hill that others have walked up so many times it is ice. Trying to work with a seller who is not ready to sell can be much like this.
This is why it is not suggested to fall in love with a home, until the closing is complete. You could find that you will be disappointed or paying a great deal more for something that was not that great.
The first step to finding a motivated seller is to let everyone know you want to buy a home. You can do this in several different ways.
1. Tell friends, family and co workers
2. Find a buyer's agent or Realtor to have them start looking
3. Find listings and start putting the word out that you want to look through email and phone calls
4. Run an ad in the local newspaper. This can show others that you are looking to buy a home. They will want to call you if they are motivated.
Remember the more people you talk to, the higher amount of options you will have to look at and find the best property with the most motivated seller.
Your best friend in all this is going to be your buyer's agent or Realtor. They will start to get you listings of homes with the requirements you wan right away. They will start by sorting through the information you give them, set up a criteria, and then show you homes that will fit that criteria.
You may be able to receive listings from your real estate professional on a daily or weekly basis. This will give you a chance to find the right people you want to work with. The Realtor or agent will start setting up meetings if you find a home you find interesting. They will also be able to let you know what kind of seller you would be working with.
The best thing about a Realtor or buyer's agent is that they want you to buy a home, and will be working for your benefit. They will also be doing a great deal of the legwork for you. You may even find that your Realtor or agent has homes for you to look at that have not even hit the market yet.
Once you have the listings you are interested in, you can start talking to the sellers. There are a few things that you will want to look for. What makes a motivated seller?
Divorce
Death
Job transfer
Financial distress
While it is never good to be happy about another person's distress, it is a time that they need someone to purchase their property. They need the money from the sell, or they need to be rid of the property for some reason. Therefore they will be more likely to be motivated to sell.
When you have found a motivated seller, you will find that you will not only get a better deal, but also the closing process will go faster. This will make the overall transaction more successful.
Finding a motivated seller is no secret. Now you know how, and why. All you have to do is a little homework and research and you will find just what you are looking for..

Goal Motivation: Just Do It! by Ian Fernando.

Sometimes I need motivation; I tend to procrastinate when it comes to creating my ebooks, reports, or building my list. I need motivation! Earning through the internet and retiring soon should be my motivation, but sometimes I say to myself I have been doing this for so long - what is going to change! Well that is definitely a bad attitude and I do not want to have that type of attitude later if I do become successful.
My motivation is just that, to change my attitude (which has changed dramatically ever since I started Internet Marketing 1 year ago), and to start earning passive income via the internet! This is my goal as a person, as your goal may be different from mines.
So I say to myself "Just DO It", then I go put on my Nike slippers on and brainstorm.
The question still remains here though - how do I "just do it?" That's the question isn't it? It all begins, as does every single thing else, in your head. It's a matter of how badly do you want to feel better about yourself, to feel good because you are healthier as a result of exercising or how bad to you want to earn from the internet.
If you want a chance at achieving something you have to set goals. If you want to achieve your goals then there are a number of simple rules to follow.
Write them down! Only 5 % of the population writes down their goals! Have they achieve their goals or not? If you don't set goals then at the end of next year you will find yourself no further forward than you are now! Writing down your goals involves imagining or visualizing them. You need to see yourself at that finish line!
Make your goals detailed and specific, I want to live somewhere warm and nice is a bit vague even for the subconscious mind! Who, what where, why, when! If nothing else it's pleasant and relaxing to visualize being in a situation where your dreams have come true.
BUT, don't make them overwhelming. You need to set REALISTIC goals. For example: I will lose 5 pounds by the end of 2 weeks. Its realistic. You can definitely lose 5 pounds within a week, but if your just starting it may take some motivation and exertion, so 2 weeks is very realistic. If you make your goals way to overwhelming you will not achieve your goal and you will feel bad about yourself because you didn't achieve it.
Yesterday reading Joel Comms' Blog, he says:
There was every excuse then for doing nothing, and continuing to dream.
Dreaming is a gret thing, but making it into reality is far better! You need to start doing and not do nothing. Once you have set your goals you should reward yourself.
Rewarding yourself make you feel better as a person and helps you do more. When I first received my first online income I was so excited, that wow people really can make money on the internet. I decided to take my family out to dinner. It made me feel great and I have the support of my family.
John Wesley even agrees with self rewards:
Set up rewards. It's best to reward yourself often the first week, and then reward yourself every week for that first month. Make sure these are good rewards, that will help motivate you to stay on track.
So reward yourself. Especially if it is a task you don't enjoy, make a point of rewarding yourself when it's completed. Give yourself something to look forward to as an incentive.
But does your goal match your personality or character? You rewarded yourself because you completed your goal that you have set. Did that change your mindset on how to achieve that goal or maybe even your character?
You most likely have. Motivating yourself to accomplish your goal is the beginning of changing your character. You stop watching TV to complete your task, that's change of character; from a couch potato to a goal oriented person. I enjoyed this portion of Steve Pavlinas' blog:
For example, suppose you want to become more successful in your career, and you set a goal to reach a certain position. Maybe the main reason you haven't yet reached that position is that your character attributes are out of sync with it.
This can be true. Your mind is not set to that goal; change is always what is needed when trying to motivate yourself to achieve your goal.
Doing doesn't always require great planning. It requires a dedication and commitment. Anybody can take action. But can you take responsibilities for your actions with the goals you've set? If you fail will you just quit? Or will you figure out what is wrong? My blog is all about me being a failure at success, because that is how I learn. I share my case studies, I share my ideas, I share my mistakes.
If I didn't do anything, I wouldn't have received my first dollars on the internet, which motivated me to do more because it is possible to do anything; you just need to put on your Nike Sneakers and Just Do It!

Tools for Motivating Your Sales Team by Danita Bye.

How to Make Your Salespeople's Goals Work for You
What makes your salespeople get out of bed and come to work each morning? Is it the chance to realize your goals? Is it the opportunity to make your dreams come true?
Not likely, but if you find anyone who meets this description, send him my way. Assuming he's sane, I've got some work for him. I'm betting, though, that all your salespeople - and all the salespeople you'll ever hire - show up at their desks every morning for one of two reasons: to stave off starvation (of the nutritional and/or emotional kind) or to make their dreams come true. That's the "why" of their behavior - the first is a short term motivator, and the second is of the long term variety. Both are keys to unlocking your sales team's potential. And both should be among your own top priorities.
Five Tips for Motivating Top Sales Performance
One of your most important tasks, as a business owner or manager, is to dig into the "why" of sales behavior to discover the "how" of motivating your salespeople to deliver the sales results you're after. In my upcoming Business Experts webinar, Tools for Motivating Your Sales Team, I delve into the details of ferreting out your salespeople's unique motivators and offer a step-by-step plan for using those aspirations to achieve your own. To get you started right away, though, and give you a taste of what you can expect from attending this presentation, here are a few tips, beginning with a jewel of timeless advice from Dale Carnegie:
1. Start each day with the phrase "You can get everything you want in life by helping others get what they want." It's hard to overstate the power of Carnegie's insight, and to my mind, all that's been written on the subject of salesperson motivation stems from this concept. I'm not much for mantras, but you could do much worse than to say this to yourself each day.
2. Know that the best way to get your salespeople enthusiastic about your goals is to get them committed to theirs. Your sales goals literally mean nothing to your salespeople unless you can tie your goals to theirs. There's absolutely no way to do that without turning your salespeople's hazy, "maybe someday" daydreams into concrete goals they can and will commit to achieving. And to do that, you'll have to...
3. Identify and break your salespeople's long term goals into time-limited chunks. A goal, in contrast to a mere wish, is specific, has waypoints that make progress measurable, and has a deadline. Unfortunately, for them and for you, many salespeople fail to make the distinction. Do them and yourself a favor by helping them to clarify and time-limit their wishes using a process like this:
o Identify their gifts, talents, passions, etc.
o Identify where they want to be in 3-5 years and 5-10 years
o Identify annual goals that will help them achieve their vision
o Break those annual goals into 30, 90, and 180 day goals
o Translate goals into monthly, weekly, and daily game plans
4. Communicate with salespeople in their own language. If you're going to successfully link your salespeople's personal goals to your sales goals, you'll need to speak the language of their dreams. As Lee Iacocca put it, "Communication is everything." People respond well when they relate well. In my consulting work, I use the DISC Behavioral Style tool to uncover the best way to communicate with a salesperson. This tool, one of several that I cover in Tools for Motivating Your Sales Team, provides distinct guidelines for talking to salespeople, such as whether to pose specific/direct questions or emotional/feeling questions, whether to offer statistics or analogies and stories to make a point, and how to regulate tone and inflection.
5. If all else fails, tap into short term motivators. Your salespeople are motivated either by their dreams or by the threat of dietary or emotional starvation, but not both at the same time. Some haven't traveled far enough up Maslow's hierarchy of needs (physiological, safety, belonging, esteem, and self-actualization) to actually own big dreams. But that fact that they're on the lower levels of Maslow's pyramid doesn't mean you can't motivate them where they are and help them - and your sales -advance upwards.

Motivation Is Essential For Success by Don.

Who doesn't want to be successful? While everyone wants to be successful, there is an essential ingredient you must have to succeed: self motivation. Self motivation is essential for success and there are several reasons for that.

First of all, motivation helps you get started in whatever you do. Have you ever noticed how difficult it is to start doing something you don't like? On the other hand, have you noticed how easy it is to start doing something you do like? That's why motivation is important. If you think of achieving success as a journey, motivation helps you start the journey. It helps you start walking.

The second reason is motivation helps you keep moving on your journey to success. As you may know, the road to success is not easy. There are always difficulties along the way that hinder you. If you don't have the motivation, it's easy to get discouraged and stop in the middle of the journey. The role of motivation is to keep you moving despite the difficulties you face.

The third reason is motivation pushes you to do better than anyone else. Since you do it with passion, you naturally want to do more of it. You are willing to dig deeper and go further than many other people. Because of that, there is a good chance that you will be more successful than most people.

The fourth reason is motivation makes your journey to success enjoyable. The journey is still long, but you can enjoy it since you are motivated. This way you are more likely to eventually reach the end of the journey than people who are not motivated. While other people struggle just to take one more step, you love the journey because it's fun for you.

So, all in all, motivation may make the difference between being a winner and a loser. If you want to be successful, get yourself motivated first.

The Motivational You by Willie Horton.

How does one self-motivate? Are there two parts of us - one that is the motivator and the other which needs to be motivated? Why does research suggests that most so-called "normal" people do not achieve their goals, dreams and ambitions? Why do the majority of people continue to do work that they dislike? Why does the World Health Organization believe that stress will be such a big 21st. Century killer? If you're "normal" and you're worried and stressed, feeling unfulfilled at work, how can you actually motivate yourself? And what would you be motivating yourself for? Why bother?
Lots of questions - but they all boil down to the key issue of the extent to which we need to be motivated - and that most of us are not! Even many of my own clients, who should know better, who own their own businesses and whose future is so much more in their own hands than the normal employee, tell me that they're de-motivated, that they go into work knowing the key things that they have to do and yet they waste their time on doing things that they either shouldn't be doing, or things that are downright destructive (like worrying about where new business will come from, like getting involved in the downward spiral of gossip about the economic environment, like gossiping about their competitors) - things that lead them away from their hopes and dreams. As a result, they end up more de-motivated than ever.
But back to that one key issue - the need for self-motivation and, in particular, one of my very first questions above - who is doing the motivating and who needs to be motivated.
Everyone needs to get a kick out of life - if at all possible, every day. Years of psychological and market research that most people only rarely experience any high in their lives and that, generally, it is short lived. As a result, the majority of us, so-called normal people, trudge through our regular routines wishing for and hoping for our next high - whether that's looking forward to the weekend, the next night out or holiday. But in our ordinary everyday routine lives we are less than happy - less than fully motivated.
The truth is that there are two parts of us - our inner pure energy and our personality - and these two internal elements are locked in battle. As a result, we strive for, hope for, wish for a better life, more success and happiness, but we actually trip ourselves up in the pursuit of our hopes and dreams. It is our personality - the part of us with which we are all so familiar - that holds us back, that stops us being fully motivated, that disables our true inner abilities to achieve great things, to live our ordinary lives extraordinarily. As I said, we're all very familiar with our personality - our strengths, our faults and our failings.
However, when my clients explore their self-perceptions, many of them find that they can actually recollect the first time in their lives when they actually felt a particular - perhaps of inadequacy, self-doubt, anxiety, fear, even self-loathing. That is because our current self-perceptions that make up our personality are merely a compilation of the events that stand out in our subconscious mind from our formative years, our childhood. Many years work indicates that we perceive ourselves to be who we think we are based on a series of "snapshots" taken whilst we were young and impressionable. In addition, years of research indicates that normal people are pre-disposed to being negative - both about themselves and their chances of success.
Add all this together and you will realise that the perceived you - your personality - is a phantom-like creation of your subconscious mind. As it is created from events that most impressed you during your formative years, your personality simply could not be the real you. However, your personality feels very real - your self-doubts, your perceived inadequacies all manifest themselves in your daily life, in your behaviour and in what you get out of life. That is why you need to be motivated - and the bizarre thing is that the part of you that needs motivation (your personality) is the very same part of you that is preventing you being all that you can potentially be.
You need to stop pandering to your personality. Ignore it (it might eventually go away!). By-pass it by focussing your attention in the here and now. In doing so, your subconscious mind's obsession with your personality will begin to be broken. In focusing in the here and now, you will be less likely to waste your energy on the old, useless, self-defeating thoughts that regularly distract our minds from the task in hand, making the task in hand more difficult or frustrating. In paying attention to the present moment, in engrossing yourself in whatever you're doing, you will be better at it, more absorbed, more effective, efficient, more likely to get the key things done that will lead you towards living that ordinary everyday life - extra-ordinarily.
Recent research indicates that our ability to be happy and successful is correlated to our ability to pay attention to the here and now. It has nothing to do with self-motivation - because self-motivation involves pandering to a part of you that isn't really there, your personality. Get over yourself, get on with the present moment - your true ability to achieve your dreams and desires will then emerge - effortlessly.

Motivation for online businesses! Do they need it so badly? by Viju Dallon.

Motivation is found within every being, human and animals alike. This motivation needs only to be triggered by some internal factors such as some high ambitions or by some external factor such as a competitive environment of work, where one would struggle to be the best. However even after it has been triggered, not everyone can make the right use of this motivation to achieve their goals. They either fall in the trap of overconfidence or just let the motivation lapse away and accept defeat.
Once activated, motivation will bring a lot of changes in the mindset generally. It may even change the whole perception of a person. However, no one can ever say that he or she has never been motivated because there is always a factor triggering this feeling of motivation around us. Even living everyday is part of being motivated to live to achieve things that we desire.
Paradoxically it is also worth noting that the effective use of motivation is not given to everybody. Motivation is like a fire that needs to be perpetually fed with oxygen to stay lit. If we do not give it the right treatment, the motivation within us is bound to slack off and lead to disastrous effects. In order to make the effective use of motivation, some guidelines need to be followed so as to channel all its energy to the mainstream of success.
Using motivation in the right way is not an easy feat for everyone, but it is not impossible also. In fact, if the whole planning and preparation is done dutifully, a motivated person can all but succeed in every of his/her work. To achieve this, one has to make very good use of time and use it to plan all possibilities extensively, to set the goals and to reflect upon the anticipated rewards, and to act right away.
It is only by putting in practice of some of these simple guidelines that anyone can in fact use motivation in the right manner. Thus, it is not erroneous to say that motivation is for the use of everyone, but they just have to know how to use it correctly!

Staying Motivated by Coach Roz Harris, ACC

People often get motivated to lose weight during several key times in a typical year. The biggest jump-start is right around the corner: Yep, the New Year!
You know those New Year Resolutions! I call it the NYR time of year. It's when most people get the most motivated to get their bodies in shape. Then by January 15 all the motivation is gone! Getting motivated is easy--staying motivated isn't. But that's the goal, the mountaintop to shoot for.
So how do we do it? In a recent segment of "The Coach Roz Show," I shared three strategies for staying motivated:
1. Write it down. Get it out. Journal something.
When you ink it, you think it. Whether it's the traditional journal, a vLog, a blog entry, a letter to a friend, or (if you're more comfortable talking it out), a church support-group meeting or a coaching session: Communicate! Get out of your head and your own revolving thoughts, into an objective, supportive environment.
Think of yourself as a detective or anthropologist. You are investigating and discovering and uncovering yourself : what's working really well, what's seems right, what different now than before.... Where are there opportunities for a different perspective, idea, belief? Where am I confident? Unsure? What just happened over lunch, because I didn't finish that plate of pasta? What can I do differently this evening when I'm ready to start my routine of eating? What's made a difference before?
Perhaps you're the kind of person who doesn't use emotion to evaluate, process, or navigate most of your world. This doesn't mean you don't have feeling or that you are not an emotional being. You are. So journaling for you has a different purpose. It's to wake up to the emotions that are present, but not engaged with.
Or perhaps you're a person who is motivated by emotions and this drives your behavior. So, when the emotions are toxic you behave badly. When the emotions are healthier you behave better. You need to journal to get stuff out of you that is bubbling and bottled and uncomfortable or exhilarating.
Emotions are true, but how we process, understand them tends to be faulty. Journaling shines light on what's going on in your world. It provides a safe, objective, constructive way to get it out-and steer you away from putting too much food in!
Simple starter for my non-journal types:
  • Use technology. Set up an e-mail draf;, sign-up for a free blog account; use text messages; or go low-tech and get a small bound notebook like news reporters use.
  • Check in four times per day with yourself, answering the question, "Is what I believe right now positive?
  • Develop a simple coding system that gives you a range, like 1-5, with 5 being the most positive and 1 being the most negative. Or use exclamation points. For example,!!! = YES, what I believe right now is positive;!! = ambivalent, co-existing, conflicting emotions/thoughts;! = No, what I believe right now is negative.

Simple Starters for my journaling buddies:
  • Determine if you're a typer or a hand writer
  • Set a completion goal, like complete a 50-page journal book, or 10 typed pages
  • Set up a daily journal time and keep the time secure
2. Interject a Structure: a Cue, Reminder, Reinforcer
After you have gotten out of your head and heart through journaling, you will being to have some goals. Think of the things you want to do more of, or do differently. This is the motivation starting, bubbling up. Think of your car's gas tank like it's your motivation tank. You have a little gas in it-the motivation is started-but you need to keep the motivation tank filled up. You need to put something in place that will help pour into your motivation tank and keep it on full.
Structures are tangible cues, reminders or reinforcers that help us keep a new habit, a way of thinking or a state of being. To stay motivated to keep a new habit try these out:
Add affirmations: Out-loud, short, repeated; physical reminders.
Establish new routines: Daily small actions based on a cue (or signal) this will reconditioning you. For example, if passing the break room each afternoon finds you loading up at the vending machine, then change your route to the bathroom or use that moment to leave a message for your sweetie. Break up the routine you have fallen in to.
Set easy rules of thumb to follow: For example, "I eat what I want and I don't eat hamburgers." "I eat whatever I want and I leave several bites behind." "I eat whatever I want and skip the appetizers."
Visualize: Picture something distasteful to help you turn away, such as ants crawling over bread or all the germs floating in the soup... You pick your weakness and make it disgusting!
Finish the sentence differently: Practice filling out the blank with a new thought. For example, "Oh, that looks good. I want some! But, that is a destructive way to live my life so I'm going to walk away!
3. Associate Pleasure to What You're Trying to Stay Motivated Toward
Reward yourself! Give yourself an environmental celebration, laugh out loud, do a 10-minute visualization... Give yourself something fun, meaningful, tangible (to you), reinforcing, spirit-connected. The pleasurable rewards need to come in small, frequent doses and be associated with the new habit. This combination of rewards connected to the habit keeps your motivation revved up. Here's what I mean:
  • Every time I complete my affirmation I get a $1 iTunes song.
  • Every time I write 5 minutes in my journal I get to spend an hour watching my DVR show.
  • Every four days in which I track my food intake, I earn one manicure.
  • When I exercise and get in physical activity four times in a week, I get to do nothing all day on Sunday!
